Visit of Catherine Ashton, Vice-President of the EC, to Lebanon

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, went to Beirut where she met with Michel Sleiman, President of Lebanon, Najib Mikati, Lebanese Prime Minister, and Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.
The Vice-President then met with several Syrians refugees children at the Amel community centre of Haret Hreik.
The country was the first leg of a four-day visit to the Middle East.
