Participation of Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC, at the public hearing 'A Single Telecom Market for Growth and Jobs in Europe'

Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Digital Agenda, participated in the public hearing 'A Single Telecom Market for Growth and Jobs in Europe'.
The EC welcomed the conclusions of the 2013 Spring European Council, calling for measures to create a Single Telecom Market as early as possible. In this context, the European Commission organised a public event on its planned initiative to achieve such a genuine Single Telecom Market and to discuss the social and economic opportunities it will create. Among the participants, there were: Ulf Ewaldsson, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Head of Group Function Technology and Portfolio Management at Ericsson, Roberto Viola, Deputy Director-General of the DG "Communications Networks, Content and Technology" of the EC, and Göran Marby, Director-General of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS).
