Participation of Connie Hedegaard, Member of the EC, at the conference 'Visions for a world you like: How can we make our consumption more sustainable?', in Milan

Connie Hedegaard, Member of the EC in charge of Climate Action, went to Lisbon to participate in the conference entitled 'Visions for a world you like: How can we make our consumption more sustainable?', organised as part of the EC climate campaign " A world you like. With a climate you like".
The event aimed at demonstrating how consumers and businesses that make sustainable choices can contribute to saving the environment and climate, while boosting green growth and jobs in Europe. On this occasion, the campaign teamed up with the Nordic Fashion Association to present a fashion show on how to make fashion more sustainable – from the production and distribution, through washing and care and providing a second life for clothing.
Since its launch in October 2012, the campaign has attracted more than 22.000 followers on social media and more than 160 official partners including public authorities, non-governmental organisations, academia and businesses.
