Visit of Štefan Füle, Member of the EC, to Moldova

Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, embarked on a visit to Chisinau to participate in the celebrations of Europe Day, organised on 18 and 19 May in the "European Village".
During his stay, het met with Nicolae Timofti, President of Moldova, other political leaders as well as civil society representatives. Štefan Füle stressed the importance of policy continuity and efforts to ensure inclusiveness in the country’s political processes, in order to take forward the European integration agenda for the long-term benefit of the citizens of Moldova.
