Press conference by Štefan Füle, Member of the EC, on the adoption of the 2013 package on the ENP and the communication and progress reports
Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, gave a press conference following the adoption of the 2013 package on the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).
The 2013 Package consisted of a Joint Communication of the Commission and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton. It also consisted in twelve Country Progress Reports assessing the implementation of the ENP in 2012 in the twelve neighbouring countries with which an ENP Action Plan or an Association Agenda has been agreed; two regional reports reviewing the progress made in 2012 in the implementation of the Eastern Partnership and the Partnership for Democracy and Shared Prosperity with southern Mediterranean partners; and a report with quantitative indicators of progress toward reform
The ENP framework is proposed to 16 of the EU's closest neighbours – Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine.
