Participation of José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, in the Forum for the Future of Agriculture

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, participated in the 6th Forum for the Future of Agriculture (FFA). The President made a speech entitled "Ensuring sustainable growth: the challenges ahead for a stronger Europe" on this occasion. In his speech, he highlighted that for a better future for all, all the policies needed to pull in the same direction and support the same overall objectives. José Manuel Barroso reiterated by saying that "when we all pull together we can see the first positive results of this response".
He then went on to present the elements of a single coherent response and concluded with the idea that it was necessary to continue the drive for reform to make the economies more competitive and the public finances sound and sustainable.
