Visit of José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Cecilia Malmström, Member of the EC, to Morocco
José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Cecilia Malmström, Member of the EC in charge of Home Affairs, went to Rabat where they met with Saad-Eddine El Othmani, Moroccan Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, before paying a tribute at the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.
The President then met with Abdelilah Benkirane, Moroccan Prime Minister, to sign the Memorandum of financial support program to the National Human Development Initiative (NIHD) for the period 2013-2015.
José Manuel Barroso ended his journey by a meeting with Karim Ghellab, Speaker of the Lower House of the Moroccan Parliament.
