Visit of Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC, to Chile
Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, travelled to Santiago together with several European businessmen from all the main industrial sectors.
This visit was part of the series of "Missions for Growth", which aims to foster industrial cooperation and trade relations between the EU and Chile. Antonio Tajani met with the representatives of the Chilean Government in order to deepen the implementation of the political agreements signed on SME development, industrial cooperation, raw materials, sustainable construction and tourism.
During his stay, Antonio Tajani participated in the first Summit between the EU and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which brought together the Heads of State and Government of Europe, Latin America and Caribbean. The central theme of the Summit addressed "the Alliance for Sustainable Development to Promote Investments of Social and Environmental Quality".
