Visit of Habib Ben Yahia, Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union, to the EC
José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, received Habib Ben Yahia, Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU). Discussions focused on the state of cooperation with the countries of the AMU (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) and integration in the region as well as the situation in the wider neighbourhood, notably in Mali, Syria and Egypt.
