Signature of the agreement on the resumption of development cooperation with Guinea

The EU and Guinea, represented by Marcus Cornaro, Director in charge of Neighbourhood Policy of the DG "Development and Cooperation - EuropeAid" of the EC, and Kerfalla Yansané, Guinean Minister for Finance, signed the Country Strategy Paper and National Indicative Programme (CSP/NIP) for cooperation with Guinea. The signature of these documents had been delayed until the recent adoption by the Guinean authorities of a detailed timetable for the organisation of parliamentary elections. This officially marks the resumption of development cooperation between the EU and Guinea.
