Norwegian Refugee Council Conference on Defending the Humanitarian Principles

Kristalina Georgieva, Member of the EC in charge of International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, participated in the conference organised by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), which was entitled: Principles in Practice: Safeguarding Humanitarian Action. The other participants of this high-level discussion were: Atta Al-Mannan Bakhit, Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Espen Barth Eide, Norwegian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elisabeth Rasmusson, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (CICR), and Lise Grande, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in India.
