Visit of Catherine Ashton, Vice-President of the EC, to Serbia

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, went to Belgrade with Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State. They together met with Tomislav Nikolić, President of Serbia, and Ivica Dačić, Serbian Prime Minister and Minister for the Interior.
Discussions focused on what was needed for Serbia to move forward and to keep moving forward at a good pace. The Vice-President encouraged the two Serbian leaders to intensify reforms, saying that judicial reforms were extremely important in that context.
