Launch of the Global Portal on Product Recalls

Paola Testori-Coggi, Director-General of the DG "Health and Consumers" of the EC, Rintaro Tamaki, Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD, and Inez Tenenbaum, Head of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, participated in the event organised for the launch of the new international portal that will allow authorities across the world to exchange information about unsafe products that have been taken off the market. The ‘Global Recalls Portal’ is a project developed jointly by the EU and the countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) including the US, Australia and Canada. The event was organised on the occasion of the International Product Safety Week.
