Giovanni Kessler, Director General of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), gave a press conference after the resignation of John Dalli, Member of the EC in charge of Health and Consumer Policy, on 16 October 2012. John Dalli informed José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, of his decision, following an OLAF investigation on a complaint filed in May 2012 by the tobacco manufacturer Swedish Match.
