Visit of José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, to Malta

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, went to Malta where he participated in the 5+5 Dialogue Summit notably with Lawrence Gonzi, Maltese Prime Minister, and political figures of nine other Mediterranean countries: Italy, France, Spain and Portugal for the north shore, and Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia to the south shore. This Dialogue was established in 1990.
The President then visited the city of Valletta and the Saint John's Co-Cathedral.
