Visit of Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC, to Iceland

Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, embarked on a trip to a Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, which has been granted the status of candidate country for EU membership since 2010.
Johannes Hahn met with several representatives of the government; among them, Stéfan Haukur Jóhannesson, Ambassador of Iceland to the EU and Chief Negotiator for EU Accession.
He then webt to the regions of Egilsstadir and Husavik to visit several projects funded by the EU Regional Policy, such as the lake of the thermal station of Myvatn.
