Visit of José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Member of the EC, to the Joint Research Centre in Ispra

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Member of the EC in charge of Research, Innovation and Science, visited the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in the Ispra site with Dominique Ristori, Director-General of the the JRC. They also visited the European Laboratory for Structural Assessment (ELSA), and the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS), two of the seven scientific institutes of the JRC in Ispra.
José Manuel Barroso and Máire Geoghegan-Quinn then participated in the opening of the European Crisis Management Laboratory.
