José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, participated in the International Conference on Libya notably with Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the French Republic, David Cameron, British Prime Minister, and Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State.
This conference in support of the New Libya gathered more than 60 countries friends of Libya.
