Visit of Vladimir Filat, Moldovan Prime Minister, to the EC

Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, received Vladimir Filat, Moldovan Prime Minister. Discussions focused on the new principles set out in the recently adopted Communication on the European Neighbourhood Policy and the new opportunities that this renewed policy offered specifically to Moldova and its citizens. Through this communication and the reference to article 49, the EU acknowledged the European aspirations and the European choice of Moldova.
