Participation of Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC, in the 1st Digital Agenda Assembly
Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Digital Agenda, participated in the 1st Digital Agenda Assembly (DAA). The Digital Agenda for Europe is the EU's road map for bringing the benefits of a digital society and economy to Europe's citizens. But it can only deliver if all stakeholders are involved in assessing problems and identifying solutions.
The main objectives of the Assembly are to assess progress on delivery towards the Digital Agenda's goals and actions and seek ways to improve delivery, identify challenges ahead for the implementation of the Digital Agenda and for the information society in general, and mobilise stakeholders' actions to make further progress and address challenges.
Neelie Kroes also attended the award ceremony of the best children's online content Youth Prize and Adult Prize 2011.
