José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, participated in the joint parliamentary meeting on "Western Balkans: towards a more integrated Europe". The President declared that the enlargement process was about a transformational agenda which impacted the entire structure of a country. Referring to his visit to the Western Balkans from 7 to 9 April 2011, José Manuel Barroso noted that the region was clearly on the move.
