Visit of Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC, to Algeria
Antonio Tajani, Vice President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, went to Algeria where he participated in the 19th African Industrial Ministers conference also called CAMI-19. This event was organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
CAMI is a statutory conference established in 1975 as a pan-African response to promote accelerated and sustainable industrial development. The conference is held every two years and serves as a forum for African leaders and other stakeholders to discuss and review progress made towards Africa’s industrialization. The topic of the 2011 edition was "Enhancing Competitiveness of the African Industries through Increased and Improved Value Addition".
