Informal Council of the EU Ministers for Defence, 25/02/2011

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, participated in the Informal Council of EU Ministers for Defence notably with Csaba Hende, Hungarian Minister for Defence and President in office of the Council. Discussions focused on the on-going EU military operations and on the situation in Libya.
The Vice-President also made a speech entitled "A world built on co-operation, sovereignty, democracy and stability" at the Corvinus University of Budapest.
