Participation of Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the EC, at the Summit of Female Ministers of the EU
Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, participated in the 3rd Summit of Female Ministers of the EU and made a speech. This event took place on the eve of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The Summit was intended to highlight the importance of the fight against various forms of violence faced by millions of women in the EU.
This Summit follows two Summits of Female Ministers of the EU which took place in Athens in 1992 and Cadiz in 2010.
