Visit of Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, to Jordan and Israel

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, went to Amman and Jerusalem, as part of her Near East tour from 14 to 18 March 2010, in order to open a dialogue between the different actors involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In Amman, Catherine Ashton discussed with Abdullah II, King of Jordan, and Nasser Judeh, Jordanian Minister for Foreign Affairs. She then went to Jerusalem to meet Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister and Avigdor Liberman, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs.
