6th European Business Summit
José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Enterprise and Industry, and Stavros Dimas, Member of the EC in charge of Environment, took part in the 6th European Business Summit. The theme of 2008, "Greening the economy - new energy for business", provided the opportunity to focus on how Europe can turn the “carbon challenge” into a business opportunity, giving new energy to growth and jobs.
