Awarding of the Europe Book Prize

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Ján Figel', Member of the EC in charge of Education, Training, Culture and Youth, took part in the awarding of the Europe Book Prize. The Europe Book Prize is awarded to a work which conveys a vision of the Europe of tomorrow and published in one of the 27 Member States of the European Union. The prize seeks to promote European values, and to contribute to European citizens' better understanding of the European Union as a cultural entity. .
