Ministerial Conference on the Maritime Policy for the EU

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Joe Borg, Member of the EC in charge of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, participated in the high level Ministerial Conference on the Maritime Policy for the EU. Following the adoption of an Integrated maritime Policy by the EU, the conference was convened by the Portuguese Presidency in Lisbon to find a consensus between Member States concerning measures to be undertaken.
