Opening of the"Adornment and History: Ancient Georgia, Crossroads of Europe and Asia" exhibition by Benita Ferrero-Waldner and Giorgi Baramidze

Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Member of the EC in charge of External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, and Giorgi Baramidze, Georgian Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, inaugurated the "Adornment and History: Ancient Georgia, Crossroads of Europe and Asia" exhibition. The exhibition was made up of multimedia documents, photographs, posters and presentations of modern replicas of ancient Georgian gold jewellery. The original jewellery was discovered in archeological sites in Georgia and dates from the period between 2500 B.C. to the 5th century A.D.
