Meeting of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies (EGE) with Janez Potocnik, Member of the EC
The European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies (EGE), under the presidency of Göran Hermerén, delivered it's opinion to the EC on the ethics review of projects using human embryonic stem cells funded from the 7th Research Framework Programme. They were received by Janez Potocnik, Member of the EC in charge of Science and Research. The task of the EGE is to examine ethical questions relating to sciences and new technologies, and on the basis of this work, submit opinions to the European Commission in connection with the preparation and implementation of Community legislation or policies.
