The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is the EU voluntary instrument which acknowledges organisations that improve their environmental performance on a continuous basis. Evelyne Huytebroeck, Minister for Environment, Energy and Water Policy of the Region of Brussels-Capitale, Siim Kallas, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Administrative Affairs, Audit and Anti-Fraud, and Stavros Dimas, Member of the EC in charge of Environment, took part to the event.
