Press conference by Stavros Dimas, Member of EC on "Greening the Torino Winter Olympics"
Stavros Dimas, Member of the EC in charge of Environment gave a press conference on the ecological organisation of the 20th Winter Olympics and Paralympics 2006 in Torino by using in particular the EU eco-management and audit system (EMAS) and the European eco-label. Valentino Castellani, President of TOROC (the Torino Winter Olympics Organising Committee), Mercedes Bresso, President of the Italian region of Piemonte, Manuela Di Centa, ski champion and member of the Olympic international Committee (IOC), also attended.
