Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Member of the EC in charge of External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, went to Libya and met Muammar al-Gaddafi, Guide of the Great Revolution of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. She discussed how to advance EU-Libyan relations, including under the Barcelona Process, and raised the case of Bulgarian and Palestinian medical workers under sentence of death in Libya.
