Open Doors Day at the European Institutions
For the ninth consecutive time the European Institutions in Brussels have a organised an "Open Door Day”. The European Commission has opened its’ headquarters, the Breydel building, to the general public. The European Institutions open door day celebrates the anniversary of the Robert Schuman Declaration, which launched European construction on 9 May 1950. This year, the day has been coupled with the historic enlargement of the EU, which has proceeded to 25 countries. Hungarian marathon runners arrived in Brussels wearing the ten flags of the new Member States.".
