EU/Russia Summit, 11/11/2002

Participants at the 10th EU-Russia Summit included Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Danish Prime Minister and President-in-office of the European Council, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, Romano Prodi, President of the EC, and Javier Solana Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union, High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy. Discussion subjects included the development of relations between the EU and Russia, Kaliningrad, the environment and nuclear security. The Danish Presidency firmly stated that while totally condemning terrorism, the EU is preoccupied by the problems in Chechnya and the action capacity of humanitarian organisations in Chechnya and Ingouchie.
