First ministerial meeting between the EEC Member States and Denmark
On 26 October 1961, a delegation from Denmark headed by Jens Otto Krag, Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs and composed of Kjeld Philip, Danish Minister for the Economy, and Hans Rynkeby Knudsen, Danish Minister for Finance, among others, met for the first time with EEC Member States at the Palais des Congrès of Brussels. Members of the Commission of the EEC who attended the meeting included Walter Hallstein, President of the Commission of the EEC, Sicco Mansholt, Vice-President of the Commission of the EEC in charge of Internal Market (President of the group), Transport and Administration, and Jean Rey, Member of the Commission of the EEC in charge of External Relations (President of the group), Internal Market and Competition.
