Award of the Lorenzo Natali 2001 Prize for Journalism
Poul Nielson, Member of the EC in charge of Development and Humanitarian Aid, awarded the Lorenzo Natali 2001 prize for journalism to Kamau Ngotho, Kenyan journalist from “The Sunday Nation” and to Romain Gubert, from the French weekly “Le Point”. This journalism prize is awarded for excellence in reporting on human rights, democracy and development for the media in the EU Member States, Sub-Sahara regions of Africa, North Africa and the Middle East, Latin America, the Caribean and Pacific Asia.
