Stockholm Extraordinary European Council, 23-24/03/2001

As decided at the Lisbon European Council, summit meetings take place every spring in order to give the Heads of State and Government the opportunity to discuss economic and social issues. So, during the Stockholm Extraordinary European Council (23-24/03/2001), Heads of State and Government proceeded to evaluate the progress made in the field of economy based on knowledge in order to achieve sustained growth, full employment and quality in work, and finally greater social cohesion.
