Signing of a loan agreement between the ECSC and Eurotunnel

A loan agreement granted under Article 54 of the ECSC Treaty to Eurotunnel group was signed by Karel van Miert, Member of the CEC in charge of Transport, Credit and Investments, Protection and Promotion of Consumer Interests and Environment (pro term pending the appointment of a successor to Carlo Ripa di Meana), and Enrico Cioffi, Director-General of DG XVIII Credit and Investments of the CEC, on behalf of the ECSC and André Bénard, President of Eurotunnel, and Alastair Morton, Director-General of Eurotunnel, for Eurotunnel.
