Signing of an agreement within the framework of the BC-NET

An agreement within the framework of the BC-NET (Business cooperation network) was signed on 18 September 1992 between the EEC and a third country. BC-NET uses a computer system to link up a network of business advisers. It is run by the Business Cooperation Centre (BCC) of the SME Task Force and enables the Commission, and particularly the BCC, to ensure that small businesses participate more fully in Community programmes (ESPRIT and Brite) and in EUREKA, to encourage forms of cooperation between firms, especially in combination with industrial conversion and regional development programmes and to extend industrial cooperation to non-Community countries.
