Signature of commercial agreement EEC/Romania
Since January 1981 talks on industrial trade have taken place on an annual basis. During his meeting with Willy de Clercq, Member of the EC in charge of External Trade, Ilie Văduva, Romanian Minister of Foreign Trade pressed for a set date by which EEC import quotas on over 2,000 East bloc products would be lifted.
