Signing of an agreement EURATOM/Canada on management of nuclear waste

A cooperation agreement relating to assessment studies on the environmental impact and research in the field of nuclear waste management has been reached between the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and the Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL).
The agreement was signed by Etienne Davignon, Member of the CEC in charge of Internal Market and Industrial Affairs, Customs Union, Information Markets and Innovation, Energy, the Euratom Supply Agency and International Nuclear Relations, and James Donnelly, President of the Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL).
