Negotiations between the U.A.R. and the CEE for the conclusion of a preferential agreement

Negotiations between the United Arab Republic (U.A.R.) and the EEC for the conclusion of a preferential agreement, opened on 21 September 1970. The delegation of the U.A.R. was headed by Aly Hamdy Hussein, Head of the Mission of the United Arab Republic, assisted by Mahmoud Zoulfikar Ali Zoulfikar, Under Secretary of State at the Ministry for Economy and Foreign Trade of the United Arab Republic. The EEC delegation was presided by Helmut Sigrist, Director-General of DG I External Relations of the CEC.
