Brussels European Council, 16-17/07/1975

The work of the European Council of Brussels resulted in the election of the European Parliament through universal suffrage, passport union, special rights for citizens of the Member States, reinforcement of the coordination of economic and financial policies, closer cooperation with Portugal and proposals for action towards developing countries.
