Visit by Mário Soares, Portuguese Prime Minister, to the CEC

Roy Jenkins, President of the CEC, received Mário Soares, Portuguese Prime Minister. This visit ended a series of meetings M Soares attended in the capital cities of the member states, at the European Parliament, at the European Investment Bank, in the Court of Justice and with the European Economic and Social Committee. These conversations aimed to explain the reasons behind the desire expressed by Portugal to become a member of the EU.
