Signature of the Schengen Convention by Austria

The first "Schengen" Council was held on 28 April 1995, in Brussels as the entry into force of the Convention occured on 26 March 1995. The Council of Ministers was followed by the signing ceremony of the Schengen Convention by Austria thus becoming the 10th Member State to do so.
