2003: European Year of Persons with Disabilities
The European Year of Persons with Disabilities, organised by the European Commission in close co-operation with the European Forum of Persons with Disabilities, has as its objective that, in the whole of Europe, persons with disabilities and those with no disabilities undertake initiatives to change society so that persons with disabilities may benefit from equal treatment.
