Brussels Economic Forum 2014: Lessons from the crisis response for the way forward

On 10 June 2014, on the occasion of the Brussels Economic Forum, the first panel on the conference was entitled "Lessons from the crisis response fro the way forward". Peter Spiegel, Chief of the Financial Times' Brussels bureau, moderated the discussion amongst Olli Rehn, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Euro, Jörg Asmussen, Secretary of State at the German Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs, Maria Luís Albuquerque, Portuguese Minister for Finance, Valdis Dombrovskis, MEP and former Latvian Prime Minister and Reza Moghadam, Director of the European Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). All were main figures who dealt with the implementation of the economic crisis measures and their insights are invaluable
