"Europe's Choice": premier débat présidentiel européen
"Europe's Choice", the first European presidential debate took place on 28 April 2014 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
The candidates for the presidency of the European Commission - Jean-Claude Juncker (Group of the European People's Party), Martin Schulz (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament), Guy Verhofstadt (Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe), and Franziska Keller (Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance) - debated key issues in front of an audience of 700 young people and answered questions gathered from thousands of young people from all over Europe. The debate focused on three main themes: the European economy – crisis and growth; the future of Europe and rise of Euroscepticism; and Europe’s foreign policy role.
The debate was hosted by the City of Maastricht, Maastricht University, Connect Limburg and the European Youth Forum. LISTE DES PLANS
