Antonio Tajani in Sicily for the "Europe 2020: Strategy for Growth" conference

On 27 March 2014, Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, travelled to Sicily, Italy to lead a delegation of 600 companies, 379 Italian and 204 foreign, representing 34 countries, both EU outside Europe. The initiative was promoted by the European Commission and the Region of Sicily, in collaboration with the network "Enterprise Europe Network", which provides businesses with information and advice. The goal is to promote growth and jobs and attract industrial investment in the island, through meetings between companies and representatives of the European institutions and local authorities and with representatives of economic categories. On this occasion, he went to Palermo where he gave an opening speech at the "Europe 2020 Strategy for Growth" conference.
